frauenkomponiert 2026
For the 2026 edition of frauenkomponiert, the award-winning Tenebrae Choir, conducted by Nigel Short, will launch a new CD featuring major choral works by British-Swiss composer Jessica Ulusoy-Horsley. The album will be released internationally by the renowned label Signum Records.
The CD brings together three large-scale compositions: Engelsmusik, including the commissioned work “in between” (2025), The 99 Names (2022), and The cycle of peace (2022–2025). Jessica’s music is characterised by artistic depth and intercultural resonance – combining diverse traditions, languages, and spiritual dimensions into a compelling whole.
Concert performances of two pieces from the Engelsmusiken cycle, including the commissioned work in between, complement the recording. Scheduled dates include performances at Wigmore Hall, London (11 February 2026), Trinity College Cambridge (13 February 2026), Berne Minster (28 February 2026) and Kloster Fischingen (1 March 2026).
